Dr. Wissam A. Rabadi
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation
Dr. Rabadi is an executive with over 20 years of experience in Economic Development, Strategic Planning, Entrepreneurship Support, Investment and Innovation Management.
He was the Chief of Party for the USAID Jordan Competitiveness Program (JCP), a 6 years $50M project with the objective of enhancing the competitiveness of the Jordanian Private Sector in high growth sectors such as ICT, CleanTech and Life Sciences.
Before his current position, Dr. Rabadi was the Executive Director of the iPARK Technology Incubator at El Hassan Science City, Director of the Entrepreneurship Program at the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF), Director of Research and Business Development at King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB). He was the VP for Strategic Planning at Zakroff Group, LLP, a Houston-based firm providing investment advice and international business development services to US firms.
Prior to that, he was the Strategic Business Development Manager at Texas Instruments Inc. in the US. His work at Texas Instruments included New Product Development, Commercialization of New Technology, Business Development and Venture Investments.
Dr. Rabadi held several academic positions at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), the American University in Dubai (AUD), the University of Houston and at the Center for Research in Electro-Optics and Laser (CREOL) in Florida, USA. He also carried several consulting engagements with the World Bank, European Investment Bank and EU.
Dr. Rabadi holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan, a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin.
