A ministerial delegation is scheduled to visit the US on Tuesday to build on the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit to Washington last July.
Headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh, the delegation will include Finance Minister Mohamad Al-Ississ and other officials, according to a Planning Ministry statement.
During the tour, the delegation will review the government’s economic priorities programme for 2021-2023, in addition to US economic assistance for the next phase. These actions are part of efforts to push the economy forward and place it on a trajectory for recovery, the statement said.
The delegation will also hold talks with a number of US administration officials, CEOs of the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund, international financial institutions and American investors.
The visit will also include meetings with officials in Congress, the Department of State, the Ministry of Finance, the US Agency for International Development, and other executive branches related to development cooperation with the Kingdom.
