Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation participates in launching the “Public Governance Review” and “Public Sector Integrity Review” reports

04/12/2024 - Today, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation participated in the launch ceremony of the “Public Governance Review” and “Public Sector Integrity Review” reports, with a wide attendance of representatives of relevant governmental and non-governmental agencies.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry delivered a speech at the ceremony on behalf of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, in which he explained that the two reports represent the result of intensive efforts in which multiple parties participated over the past months. He pointed out that the reports included in-depth analyses by (OECD) experts on the reality of the public sector in Jordan, in addition to recommendations aimed at enhancing integrity and developing governance practices. Noting that these reports will constitute an important basis for dialogue on public policy development and that there will be a harmonization with development partners on the possibility of supporting their recommendations that are aligned with national priorities and various modernization paths.

It is worth noting that the review reports are part of the project “Together - For an Accountable and Transparent Public Administration in Jordan”, funded by the European Union, implemented in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and comes as part of the government’s efforts towards a more efficient, transparent and accountable public sector.
